Write!!!

"Writing is a form of personal freedom......writers will write not to be outlaw heros....but mainly to save themselves, to survive as indidivuals...." Don Delillo

I feel this powerful need to write....but don't know what.  I need to pen something....but can't...the words are caught inside...somewhere...stuck...trapped....

Writing for me is like breathing....a way to express feelings that I can't speak....a way to connect with myself...to connect with what's going on. I feel an angst....a push...a pull....a lump sitting inside....wanting to be released...but for some reason....can't....

I need to run...push my body to it's limit....feel that tension surging in my body instead of in my soul.....I'll write..and keep writing until it's free...until I'm free.....

Sometimes my feelings...are really intense...overwhelming....and I can't seem to express them...and get them out. In the past...I turned on myself... now...I know....I can write...I can run. It's like Maya Angelou says, when you know better....you do better.

And sometimes there can be such an endorphin high that comes with reading what you've written.

Here is a quote I really like.

last night I lie in bed and I thought WOW I HAVEN'T WRITTEN A POEM IN LIKE FOREVER...
God has one sense of humor coz as i dosed off he said HELLO WRITE THE WORDS I'M SENDING YOU.
Needless to say, I got my phone and started typing my poem...
Words come when they should I think, it's just a matter of time.

Scripture mentions our prayers of 'groanings' (those sounds we make to God when we're so overwhelmed that we have no words).
I understand your need to write when you don't know what you're supposed to write. Sometimes for me - writing is much like praying.
Hugs,
Deb

I write and I run.

I have been running the past two days and waiting to run again today for the release.

I have been writing, but sometimes feel afraid to share that too.

They are however my soul's salvation.

Bless you for all you do!

I feel it too, something nagging at me to come out, but I don't know what it is! Praying for the words to come for you...

Yes, to write is to be released into a certain freedom to express. We need to write.

My mind writes while I run but the essays don't always make it to paper. Writing and running, exhaustion and relief. Peace, both give me peace.
Great post

I think that writing a blog has been helpful in my recovery. It fulfills a desire to express.
